Kale chips

Now, the first time my daughter asked me to make these, I thought :"fine -- but I'm not eating them" -- actually even my husband eats these.  They kinda taste like nacho cheese!!!

They are made in a dehydrator!

This is the "cheese sauce" that is put on them.  It is a concoction of cashews, lemon, onion, spices, and nutritional yeast and veggies.  I've "played with the base long enough to have morphed it into my own recipe".  Nutritional yeast -- best price I've found is Whole Foods bulk section.

The kale is coated with the sauce and placed in the dehydrator.  (My dehydrator is very basic -- got it at Walmart).  Does the trick.

This is the kale stacked up on the trays.

This is a side view.  (It can't close initially).

Kale chips are delicious and nutritious.  Some parents send their kids Doritos -- I send Kale chips!
